Summary
PadelLock helps padel players organise their squads, find games, and discover courts and tournaments. We collect only the data needed to run the service. We show no advertising inside the app, we do not sell your personal data, and your account data is visible only to you and the people you choose to play with. Our marketing website uses one optional advertising-measurement cookie (the Meta Pixel) that loads only if you accept it — see Cookies & website analytics.
Who we are
PadelLock (“we”, “us”), operated by RM Technologies Ltd, is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us any time through our support page or by email at [email protected].
What we collect
We collect the following, depending on how you use PadelLock:
- Account details — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), preferred language, and your padel skill level (1.0–7.0).
- Profile content — an optional avatar (stored as a small image inside our database, not on a third-party host) and any profile information you add.
- Activity data — the groups, games, tournaments, court bookings, ratings, head-to-head records, and chat messages you create or take part in.
- Purchases — if you buy a subscription or one-off upgrade, the App Store or Google Play processes the payment and tells us only which product you bought and its status. We never see or store your card details.
- Support messages — when you contact support or request a feature, we keep what you send so we can reply and follow up.
- Technical data — basic device and diagnostic information (e.g. app version, error reports) used to keep the app stable and secure.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the app — your account, games, groups, and tournaments.
- To send service messages and, if you enable them, push notifications about your games and chats.
- To process and restore in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- To respond to support requests and feature suggestions.
- To monitor errors, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure.
We rely on the legal bases of performing our contract with you (running the app you signed up for), your consent (e.g. push notifications), and our legitimate interests (security and improving the service).
Who can see your data
Your data is private to your account. Other users only see what you deliberately share — for example, your public player profile, an open game you post, or a tournament you join. We never sell your data and we run no advertising networks inside the app.
We share data only with service providers that help us run PadelLock:
- Apple App Store & Google Play — to process in-app purchases.
- Stripe — to process payments for clubs that buy court promotions.
- Error monitoring & hosting providers — to operate the servers and detect faults.
- Email delivery — to send support replies and account emails.
- Meta Platforms & Google — website advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics / Google Ads, only on our marketing site and only if you accept cookies (see above).
We may also disclose data where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data, except where we must keep certain records (for example, purchase records for tax and accounting). Support messages are kept for a reasonable period so we can handle follow-ups.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights from within the app or by contacting us at [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
PadelLock is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
International transfers
We may process data in countries outside your own. Where we do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
